The project description was to create a background.
I assumed that it’s not possible for 6 chips to be burnt like that One of my friends had a LMCP IC and I plugged into the same proto board with the same pin configuration and it worked. Was just wondering why CN didn’t work when CP did.

Carefully read the datasheet and understand its limitations. Accepted answer provided a better insight! Ebay and lm7411j sources outside the official manufacturer’s supply chain, have lm7441j higher chance of counterfeit components. They sell only CNs. Here I’ve added the circuit diagram I used to create the inverting amplifier. Where do you see the difference now?
Somehow I got the project done perfectly without LMs. Blogger 1 Other packaging type letters are also used, but these can all vary between manufacturers. Yes, post a circuit. I assumed that it’s not possible for 6 chips to be burnt like that Wrong assumption. I assumed that it’s not possible for 6 chips to be burnt like that. Please clarify your specific problem or add additional details to highlight exactly what you need. Then I tried a non datasheeg amplifier but that didn’t work too.
Olin Lathrop k 30 In this context, no. Can’t figure out what you are talking about.
Some other shop sells CP and they work. However I can answer the main question datashest give a suggestion for a possible cause of your problem: Just asked this q to get to know what this N and P are! Same input signal as the output.
No idea what you are doing. Unfortunately some parts of your project are unclear.
Addition to that, the IC seems to be heating up a lot. Just to let you know, this description of your project doesn’t daatsheet sense e.

When I google, for both ICs, it’s the same datasheet. The N and P suffix are packaging; the internal circuit will be equivalent in both parts. Therefore it seems possible that some or all of your problems could be explained by a faulty or counterfeit batch of LMCN ICs, since at least 4 of them from your story came from the same source.
Should have asked ‘What is the difference between letter N and P at the end of LMC’ instead of giving out details of the project to create a background to the question which made people drove outta their minds: Don’t use it like an op amp.
It is an audio power amplifier. The LM is not an op amp. Also the is ancient You better use a TL or TL, even those are old but much more suited to many of today’s applications. If this question can be reworded to fit the rules in the help centerplease edit the question. Looking carefully at the sequence of events, there seems a possible cause.
Depending where your shop sourced lm7411j components, then these daasheet some of the possibilities you should consider.
Do these last letters N and P mean anything like p type or n type? But my guess is that they are electrically identical. Why can’t they just answer the question asked in the heading? Shops can get faulty batches of components, or perhaps counterfeit etc. LMC ICs sourced from the shop did not work.
Therefore use the manufacturer’s logo on the top of the LMCN and LMCP ICs to identify the manufacturer, and then locate the relevant datasheet on their website if you want to find more details. What is the RS, then?
So the difference could also be described as most? We can datasgeet help when sufficient information is presented; draw a circuit diagram – the small circuit widget in the edit controls will lm471j a schematic editor.
Is it an analog circuit? I’m having an analog project where I have to amplify a weak signal coming out of a photo transistor. See the How to Ask page for help clarifying this question. That fact that one heats up and the other works suggests the pinouts are different.
